We’ve made a lot of progress over the past four years. These are the areas I propose to focus on for the next 4 years:

Prioritize long-term budget planning

• Extend the 10-year Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) to a 15-year plan to forecast large expenses well in advance.

• Establish financial plan for implementation of mid- and long-term priorities from Parks Master Plan.

Pursue External Funding Opportunities

• Direct city resources to pursuing grants; in 2026 we were awarded $4.75M and $2.8M from the State for trails, nature-based recreation and water quality improvements. Let’s build on this success be securing more external funding.

Community Engagement

• Create more opportunities/methods for engagement, empower community to engage with City Council and Staff.

• Start a Finance Commission to provide advisory feedback on large city projects and long-term planning.
